Pollycraft Challenge 73
Hope you like my entry for this challenge. I used a digi image that I have had for a long while and used Glossy Accents to highlight the hair etc. I embossed the background card and cut the border using Martha Stewart double loop punch.

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge wk 38-Get in Shape
I could'nt wait to use my strawberry template from Mamadinis for this challenge. I used red card, gold, antique linen and black Distress Inks pads, ribbon coloured green with Promarkers, gems and the flower and swirl I cut out from the embossed image used on the strawberry. The leaves are from a patterned paper I had in my stash. It reminds me of summer, but also winter as the colours are quite rich. Hope you like it and have a go at making a Winter Strawberry yourself.

Crafter's Companion Challenge 6
Here's a card I made for the above challenge, thought I'd do something different and use fabric. The rose a leaves are cut out of a tapestry type fabric and enhanced with some colouring with Promarkers and glitter glue. I put masking tape on the back to stop it fraying. It makes a lovely tactile card.

Crafter's Companion Birthday Card Competition
I thought I would share this lovely project that won me 2nd place in the Crafter's Companion Birthday Comp. Its not too complicated and gives the recipient a wonderful surprise!
Firstly prepare 6 or more envelopes in various colours (any size) and put into them a piece of card that fits snuggly and attach with a small amount of glue, seal envelopes. Cut an appeture in the centre of each one making sure that they are on different angles, I used my cuttlebug for this. At this stage you can stick an image on the bottom envelope or use it as a gift box. Next layer them up with foam pads making sure the appertures line up. Save one envelope with the card inside to use as your lid. Score it approx 5cm from the flap (this will give a hinge for the top to open) Attach lid under the top envelope, cut off excess. Address and tie with ribbon. Hope this gives some idea of what to do, the pictures might help. You can make a card to go into the bottom envelope as I have done. Hope you enjoy making this as much as I did.

POLKA DOODLES Hidden Element Challenge week 38
Have'nt blogged for a while I've been so engrossed with Polka Doodles Creative Christmas cd, the time has flown. This card was made using the cd papers and a template from Hot off the Press. Santa appears from his hat by lifting the bobble on his hat. I seem to be totally immersed in christmas at the moment - still I suppose its never too early!

Polka Doodles weekly challenge
Here's my card for the vintage challenge. The spotted paper is from Creative Christmas cd, the image is a stampie from Back to Nature cd and other papers including the doily are from my stash. I used distressing ink pads to age the papers and image and coloured the image with water colour pencils. I was surprised how a modern image can be made to look aged using the distressing inks.
